Employment Opportunity:

Digital Imaging Technician

Glendale, California

Multiple positions are available.

This is a full-time, benefited position, including health insurance, a retirement plan, paid holidays, and paid time off.

The payscale starts at $12.00 / hour, with additional compensation dependent upon experience. Hourly bonuses are offered for productive performance.

Responsibilities:

• Use high-end digitization equipment to create digital images of irreplaceable artworks from the archives of a Los Angeles-based entertainment broadcast company
• Handle materials in accordance with prescribed guidelines for archival preservation
• Operate equipment in accordance with approved procedures and profiles
• Perform data entry to produce image file-name and metadata information
• Process image batches using Photoshop and other programs
• Review images for adherence to established quality standards

Requirements:

• Ability to perform repetitive tasks productively
• Attentiveness to detail and quality
• Ability to learn new tasks quickly and accurately
• Capacity to deal with problems intelligently
• Strong visual acuity
• Strong data-entry skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Willingness to work in a production environment
• Basic familiarity with Adobe Photoshop

Preferred Qualifications:

• Work experience involving digital scanning or photography
• Educational background in photography, art, or applied computer technology
• Experience working with rare or valuable materials
• Experience with advanced features of Adobe Photoshop
• Experience with FileMaker Pro and Microsoft Excel
